The best way to stay informed and get involved is to pay attention to media reports about zoning and planning changes that blanket all parts of the community. To get more specific information, check the city’s Planning and Development website. Learn about developments that have been proposed, actions by the planning commission and deliberations of the City Council relative to planning.

Neighborhood Associations often track development activities and can be a good source of information. Learn more about your Eugene neighborhood association at: www.eugene-or.gov.

If so, please consider joining the Eugene Planning Commission.  No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and think critically on behalf of all residents of the community.  Annual recruitment of open positions begins in mid-summer, with appointments made in the Fall. To apply, please visit the City of Eugene Boards and Commissions page or apply online.

What do you think about your Neighborhood? Residents were asked what they think and results of the Eugene Neighborhood Survey are in. The City of Eugene and the neighborhood associations asked what people like about their neighborhood and what they would like to improve. Nearly every area in the city is represented by a neighborhood association which, together with the City of Eugene, works to improve neighborhood areas.
